Evergreen Engineering®, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Civil/Structural Engineer who will provide design services for our rapidly growing list of clients.
We have offices in Atlanta, Georgia; Eugene, Oregon; and Everett, Washington. The position described here is for either our Eugene or Atlanta location.
This position will primarily include work on structural engineering and design for industrial buildings and non-building structures, foundations, and equipment support structures.
General Responsibilities:
Develop structural designs and details for steel, concrete, wood, and masonry structures
Perform field investigation of existing conditions
Develop structural calculation packages for permitting and client review
Prepare design documents for drafting and oversee drawing development
Complete structural condition assessment reports
Experience and Skills:
3+ years of structural engineering work experience (industrial experience highly desired)
Strong understanding of the basic principles of the structural discipline
Familiarity with the International Building Code structural provisions and referenced structural standards (ASCE 7, AISC 360, ACI 318, etc.)
Ability to generate engineering sketches and supervise drawing generation
Effective communication and impromptu problem-solving skills
Education and Licensure Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited college or university
Professional Engineering license or the ability to obtain within one year
Schedule and Benefits:
Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, with flexible schedule options. Initial preference to be in-office, with available telecommuting or hybrid option after adequate onboarding.
