Project Engineer

Evergreen Engineering® is seeking an experienced, full-time Project Engineer to join our team.

This role involves discipline engineering and project management for small and medium sized engineering projects for our industrial clients.

This position is desired to work remotely in the vicinity of Lewiston, Idaho to do project work at existing clients’ plants. Successful candidates will have engineering and project management experience for projects in industrial settings; they could be mechanical or industrial engineers.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage small to medium sized industrial engineering projects, including preliminary engineering, detail engineering, and construction support, by effectively utilizing resources to deliver the engineering deliverables
  • Execute detail engineering tasks in areas of competency
  • Coordinate and supervise projects from concept to completion
    • Develop client-specific project funding documents
    • Facilitate contractor job walks
    • Coordinate startup and commissioning procedures
  • Meet with clients for project scoping, information gathering, and project deliverable reviews
  • Prepare engineering proposals including project schedules, cost estimates, and scope of work documents
  • Develop equipment vendor specifications utilized for bidding and vendor selection
    • Prepare equipment performance comparisons
  • Provide technical supervision and direction of project team members (including engineers, designers, drafters, and administrative personnel)
  • Review design documents prepared by other engineers, designers, and drafters to ensure they meet the project scope, client’s needs, and Evergreen’s quality standards
  • Conduct field verification/observation and possible construction management as needed
  • Develop installation contractor bid packages, including client-specified scope and project documents to support the project funding process
  • Travel within the Eastern Washington, Western Idaho and Montana area to develop clients and complete project work as Seller-Doer

Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or higher engineering degree
  • Five or more years of relevant engineering and/or project management experience
  • Professional Engineering registration in the U.S. is highly desired
  • Knowledge of industrial processes and environments

Schedule and Benefits:

  • Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, with flexible schedule options. This is a remote, on-site at the client job site position with the opportunity to work remotely when not on site.
