Civil/Structural Professional Engineer (PE)

Evergreen Engineering®, Inc. is seeking a full-time Civil/Structural Professional Engineer who will provide design services for our rapidly growing list of clients and projects.

This position will primarily include work on structural engineering and design for industrial buildings and non-building structures, foundations, and equipment support structures.

General Responsibilities:

  • Develop structural designs and details for steel, concrete, wood, and masonry structures
  • Perform field investigation of existing conditions
  • Develop structural calculation packages for permitting and client review
  • Prepare design documents for drafting and oversee drawing development
  • Complete structural condition assessment reports
  • Mentor and review the work of non-licensed civil-structural engineers

Experience and Skills:

  • 6+ years of structural engineering work experience (industrial experience highly desired)
  • Well-rounded skills for steel and concrete engineering design
  • Fluency with the International Building Code structural provisions and referenced structural standards (ASCE 7, AISC 360, ACI 318, etc.)
  • Ability to generate engineering sketches and supervise/direct drawing generation
  • Effective communication and impromptu problem-solving skills

 Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Licensure Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Professional Engineering license in at least one U.S. state with the ability to obtain licensure in other states

Schedule and Benefits:

  • Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, with flexible schedule options. Initial preference to be in-office, with available telecommuting or hybrid option after adequate onboarding.
